Welcome to Periwinkle Sundries!

I am a solo mask-maker who specializes in toony masks, also called fursuit masks, an interesting blend of fursuit and felted half-mask. If you are looking for an alternative way to represent your character, look no further! These masks are more breathable, more lightweight, and much easier to build than a fursuit head. They don't require shaving and are well suited for people with sensory issues, asthma, and other medical complications. It's for these reasons that I'm hoping to share my methods and popularize this amazing yet underrated art form!Naturally, these masks aren't just for the furry fandom. I started out making masks for the therian community and adopted the techniques I discovered into my own craft. My personal style emerged naturally as a result of constant experimentation. Ultimately anyone can enjoy the art of mask making and wear animal masks for whatever reason they can think of.

About me:

Online I go by Peri, who is my fursona and the mascot of my studio.
In real life I'm an animation school dropout who lives in New England with my lovely partner and our dog, Basil. Basil is a shetland sheepdog and she has a ton of energy! My interests include birdwatching, identifying local plants & mushrooms, nature conservation, and drawing.
While this is my first time running a business, I am astonished at the overwhelmingly positive reception I have gotten so far! Thanks to my supporters I am able to make art full-time, which is more than a lot of people can say. I'm excited to begin creating educational content to help others do what I do. Terms of Service:

1. I must receive the full payment before starting. If you are paying down a payment plan, I will begin work after receiving the last payment.
2. Shipment dates are subject to change due to unexpected life circumstances. I'll try and make sure to inform you if the dates have changed, but I also expect customers to keep an eye on their order in the Trello queue as the date approaches.
3. No returns - no cancellations (except in extreme circumstances). Please hold off on filling out the commission form if you aren't 100% committed.
4. Adjustments to the base must be made before felting. I also ask that you pay close attention to the Trello board while your mask is being crafted so you can ask for adjustments if needed.
5. Masks might contain minor inconsistencies due to being handmade. Common examples include asymmetry in the ears and slight variations in texture or color resulting from the painting process. I don't 3D print my bases so I only ask not to expect perfect symmetry.
6. I am not responsible for normal wear, scuffs, or weathering after the mask has shipped.
7. Please be as descriptive as possible when filling out the form. This helps me immensely in the crafting process!
8. All customers are responsible for paying for shipping and shipping insurance.
Shipping insurance is optional but highly recommended.
9. I don't send updates via email, instead all updates are posted exclusively to the Trello board. I will send you an initial email when I begin work so you'll know when to keep an eye on your mask's progress.
10. Questions will be sent via email. Common questions include your preference of fur color or extra clarity on the references you provided.

Other things to note:

Some designs lend themselves better to my style than others. However, if you have a design that is more semi-realistic, I will try my best to accommodate. As an artist with a distinct style, if you have a design that is slightly more realistic I might ask to rework the design to better suit my personal process and skills.I am a new artist, so please be patient with me :)
